Modern Pool Waterfall Installation & Water Features | DFW

Every homeowner in this gallery had the same request: make the backyard feel like a resort instead of a quiet rectangle of water. Several were in Fort Worth and Keller with sloped yards that already needed retaining stone, so a waterfall solved a grading problem and a design problem at once. Others wanted evening ambiance — the sound of moving water plus fire — for entertaining. We designed each feature around the pool's existing circulation so it would look original to the house, not added on.

Before & after transformation

Before: flat pool edges, dead space at the far end of the yard, and no reason to sit outside after dark. After: stacked stone and grotto waterfalls, stair-step weeping walls, three-jet sheer descents over stone walls, and fire-and-water bowls that light the deck at night. The features run on the pool's own pump and valves, so there is no separate system to maintain.

These DFW pool remodeling projects were about sound and movement. The owners had quiet, flat pools and wanted a focal point that made the backyard feel like a resort. Working with gunite, natural Oklahoma and Texas stone, sheer-descent spillways, and fire bowls, we built rock waterfalls, stair-step weeping walls, grottos, and combination fire-and-water features tied into the existing plumbing. Each feature runs off the pool's own circulation system, so the upgrade adds atmosphere to the outdoor living area without adding a separate maintenance chore.
